Steam Sona Masoori Rice

Our main export product: steam processed, milled and Sortex cleaned at our own mill.
Sona Masoori is a lightweight, medium-grain rice prized across South India and by kitchens serving Indian cuisine worldwide. Our steam Sona Masoori is processed at our own mill in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh: the paddy is steamed and dried before milling, which firms the grain and reduces breakage. Every lot is Sortex colour-sorted and graded before packing.
Grain and appearance
Slender, medium-length grains with a clean, uniform appearance. Average grain length is 5.0 to 5.2 mm.

Processing
Steam (parboiled-style) processing: the paddy is steamed and dried before milling. We do not currently offer other processing variants. Ask us if you need something specific.
